Double the fun at Aqueduct

Quiet American's Twice The Lady wins Affectionately Stakes

Quiet American notched his 51st career Stakes winner January 26 as Twice The Lady was too strong in Aqueduct's Affectionately Stakes.

Settling on the outside in third, Twice The Lady was under a good hold in the one and one-sixteenth mile race. Approaching the far turn she began to take on leaders and dueled in the stretch before pulling away with one-eighth of a mile to go.

Bred by Edmond A. Hudon & Sharon Hudon, Twice The Lady is out of Catherine's Crown, a daughter of G2 winner and G1-placed Catherine's Bet. She is a half-sister to Stakes-placed Michelle's Crown, as well as the dam of Stakes winner To Dream Again.

Quiet American continues to be a powerful sire of runners at stud. His G1 winners include talented sprinting mare Switch, G1 Kentucky Oaks winner Real Quiet, and Cara Rafaela - the dam of sensational sire Bernardini. He is the sire of two Eclipse Champions and a total of 14 G1 horses. Quiet American stands for $15,000 Stands and Nurses at Darley USA.
