The Doctor is in: Doctor Jeff delivers emphatic three-length victory in Atlantic Beach Stakes

Street Boss colt proves much the best in wire-to-wire romp

Doctor Jeff was hustled to the lead right out of the starting gate and was in control from that point on as he cruised to a three-length victory in the Atlantic Beach Stakes at Belmont Park Nov. 5.

The victory improved the two-year-old son of Street Boss’s record to two wins in four career starts. Prior to his win in the Atlantic Beach, Doctor Jeff had tried Graded Stakes company in both the G2 Saratoga Special and G2 Pilgrim but encountered trouble in both races which hindered his chances each time.

Doctor Jeff was bred in Kentucky by Jeff Arrison and is out of the Stakes-placed mare, Wild Bea. In addition to Doctor Jeff, Wild Bea is the dam of the multiple Stakes-placed filly, Flattering Bea, and Graded Stakes-placed filly, Queen of Beas

Doctor Jeff is the 57th Stakes worldwide winner for his sire, Street Boss, and his ninth North American Stakes winner in 2021. In Australia this year, Street Boss is represented by the outstanding three-year-old colt, Anamoe, winner of the G1 Caulfield Guineas and Elite Street, a prior G1 winner who recently captured the G3 Prince of Wales Stakes.
