Dickinson tells winning tale in G3 Suwannee River Stakes

Daughter of Medaglia d’Oro skims rail to earn her first Graded Stakes victory

Godolphin Racing’s Dickinson powered through a narrow opening along the inside rail and drew off in the stretch to win the G3 Suwannee River Stakes by one-and-one-quarter length victory at Gulfstream Park.

It was the first Graded Stakes win for the five-year-old daughter of Medaglia d’Oro, who was notching her third win in her last four starts.

Bred in Kentucky by Darley, Dickinson is out of the A.P. Indy mare, Little Belle, winner of the G1 Ashland Stakes and runner-up in the G1 Kentucky Oaks and G1 Coaching Club American Oaks. Little Belle is a daughter of Champion Flagbird, winner of the G1 Premio Presidente della Repubblica.

Medaglia d’Oro sired four G1 winners in 2016, including Champion and multiple G1 winner Songbird and Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf winner, New Money Honey.

Medaglia d’Oro is standing the 2017 breeding season at Jonabell Farm for a fee of $150,000.
