Darley fillies are in fashion in fourth session

A solid day four for Bernardini, Hard Spun and Street Sense

It was the Darley-sired fillies that took center stage on Keeneland’s fourth day and it was a filly by G1 winner Hard Spun - hip number 629 - that created some fireworks less than 100 hips into the sale bringing a final bid of $350,000 from Mill Ridge, Agent.

Consigned by Nicoma, Agent, she is a half-sister to Stakes-placed Havre de Grace, out of the winning Carson City mare Easter Brunette.

Later on in the session, it was Hall of Fame-bound trainer Jerry Hollendorfer who stepped up to the plate on a nice Bernardini filly with the final bid stopping at an even $300,000 on hip number 817. Consigned by Eaton Sales, the dark bay or brown filly is out of G2 winner Hoh Buzzard (Ire), she a half-sister to G3 winner and multiple G1-placed Ashdown Express.

Kentucky Derby winner Street Sense continued to make his presence felt just five hips following as his daughter out of the Holy Bull mare Holy Lightning was hammered down at $290,000. This filly is a half-sister to G2 winner/G1-placed Going Ballistic.

Consigned by Eaton Sales, Agent for Grousemont Farm, she was purchased by Hidden Brook Agent/Paul Pompa, Jr.
