Cambier Parc proves much the best in G3 Herecomesthebride Stakes

Daughter of Medaglia d’Oro earns her first Graded Stakes win in just third career start

Cambier Parc put away leader Belle Laura in the stretch and then held off the late challenge of Princesa Carolina to win the G3 Herecomesthebride Stakes by three-quarters of a length at Gulfstream Park March 2.

It was the first Graded Stakes victory for the three-year-old daughter of Medaglia d’Oro, who has now won two of her three career starts.

Ridden by jockey Jose Ortiz, Cambier Parc sat just off the leader Belle Laura in second through the early stages of the race.

As the field swept through the far turn, Cambier Parc drew even with the longtime leader. The pair battled through the stretch, with Cambier Parc finally putting away Belle Laura with just under a furlong left to go. Cambier Parc began to edge clear and easily turned back the late challenge of Princesa Carolina to win by three-parts of a length.

Cambier Parc was bred in Kentucky by Bonne Chance Farm LLC and is out of Canadian Horse of the Year, Sealy Hill. Cambier Parc is a half-sister to Hillaby, Champion Female Sprinter in Canada; Belle Hill, winner of the G3 Autumn Miss Stakes; and Gale Force, winner of the G3 Mazarine Stakes.

Medaglia d’Oro is now the sire of 122 Stakes winners worldwide. Of those, 21 are G1 winners, led by the likes Rachel Alexandra and Songbird as well as Astern who stands his second season this year at Jonabell.
