Australian Stakes double for Hard Spun

Arctic Angel wins Listed Merson Cooper Stakes followed by Turnitaround's victory in G3 Eclipse Stakes

Hard Spun recorded at Stakes double at Sandown, Australia, 12 November with his juvenile daughter Arctic Angel scoring a dominant win in the Listed Merson Cooper Stakes over 1000m followed up by his consistent son Turnitaround's victory in the G3 Eclipse Stakes over 1800m.

After jumping from an outside barrier, Arctic Angel sped across to lead the field clearly. She dashed away shortly after entering the straight and went on to score a decisive victory with Sepoy’s daughter Zarpoya running on nicely for third.

Bred and raced by Michael Rea, Turnitaround is out of Royal Academy mare Devon Dancer, a half-sister to G3 winner Vestey.
