Any Given Saturday's Show Some Magic dazzles at Sunland

Darley-sired exacta in Riley Allison Futurity

It was a Darley-sired exacta in the Riley Allison Futurity at Sunland Park December 23 as Show Some Magic, by Any Given Saturday, finished first and Stormdriver, by Discreet Cat, ran second.

In the one mile race Show Some Magic was under a strong hold in third. Approaching the turn the colt took on leaders and then dueled in the stretch before pulling away for the win.

The two-year-old colt is out of Graded-placed Real Quiet mare Whirlwind Charlott. He is from the family of G1 winner Behrens and G2 winner Cowboy Cal.

Show Some Magic is the fifth juvenile Stakes winner for Any Given Saturday in 2012. Among them are Carving, a winner of the Real Quiet Stakes at Hollywood Park, and Dry Summer, a Stakes winner at Del Mar. Any Given Saturday's first crop was represented by the unbeaten Princess Arabella, an impressive winner of the Sunland Park Oaks.

Any Given Saturday will stand the upcoming breeding season at Darley America for $7,500 stands and nurses.
