Hard Spun filly wins in Japan

Darley stallion Hard Spun was represented by his ninth winner as the filly Frisco Bay won a maiden over six furlongs at Niigata racecourse in Japan on Saturday, August 20. Frisco Bay was bred by Southern Equine Stables and is owned by Nasuno Bokujo. The filly is a daughter of the Stakes-winning El Prado mare Frisco Belle, a half-sister to the Group 2 placed Crown Point.

Hard Spun, a son of the late Danzig, stands at Darley America and shuttles to Darley Australia where he is based at the moment of writing. The sire is enjoying success all over the world with now winners in Japan, United States and England where he sired the Group 2 winner Red Duke.
