36th Stakes winner for Cherokee Run

Run Sully Run wins the Listed Gilded Time Stakes at Monmouth Park

Darley stallion, Cherokee Run sired his 36th individual Stakes winner on Labor Day when his colt, Run Sully Run won the Listed Gilded Time Stakes at Monmouth Park.

Run Sully Run has spent most of this season racing over two turns, but appreciated the drop back in trip to five-and-a-half furlongs, making a last to first dash in the stretch to win cosily by one-and-a-half lengths. He was recording his fourth win of his career and has now earned over $160,000.

Bred by Grapestock LLC, Run Sully Run is the third winner out of G2 placed Woodman's Dancer (Woodman) who herself is a daughter of Hollywood Oaks victor, Pattern Step.
