Frosty View took the lead right out of the starting gate, repelled a challenge from Sushi Man on the far turn before drawing off through the lane to win the Blair’s Cove Minnesota Turf Championship by six-and-a-quarter lengths at Canterbury Park Sept. 6.
It was the first Stakes victory for the four-year-old Frosted gelding, who improved his record to 5-2-3 in 15 starts.
Frosty View broke like a shot out of the starting gate and went straight to the front where he was allowed to set a comfortable pace. He was tracked by Sushi Man in second and Outofthedark in third. The running order remained the same down the backstretch, with Frosty View continuing to hold a one-length advantage. Frosty View repelled a brief challenge from Sushi Man on the far turn, then drew off through the lane to win easily.
Frosty View was bred in Minnesota by Lothenbach Stables Inc. He is out of the winning Hard Spun mare, Clare View, and is a half-brother to Stakes-placed Lady Clare (Speightstown) and hails from the immediate family of multiple Graded Stakes winner, Mister Mardi Gras (Belong to Me).
Sire of 37 Stakes winners, Frosted is represented by additional 2025 Stakes winners Flood Zone (G3 Gotham Stakes); Meringue (KY Downs Juvenile Fillies Stakes); Post Time (Deputed Testimony Stakes); Winterberry (Bison City Stakes); White Rocks (Cincinnati Trophy) and Frost At Dawn (Listed Cecil Frail Stakes in England).
