Darley has set the fees of its 18 stallions that will stand in America for the 2012 breeding season.

The roster will be led by Bernardini ($150,000), who has solidified his remarkable first-crop achievements with star three-year-old Stay Thirsty, and Street Cry ($150,000), whose present juvenile crop is headed by the undefeated two-year-old Lyric Of Light, who, in 2011 became his thirteenth individual G1 winner.

New stallion Lonhro - 11-time G1 winner and Australia’s reigning Champion sire will stand at a fee of $30,000. He will be joined by UAE and Super Derby hero Regal Ransom who will stand at a fee of $7,500.  Recently retired G1 winner Girolamo will stand at Sequel Stallions in New York at a fee of $15,000.

Charlie Boden, Darley’s Head of Sales said, “2012 is going to be an exciting year.  Bernardini is a young horse we are so proud of and he is proving to be truly world-class.  Our other top stallions Elusive Quality, Medaglia d’Oro and Street Cry will be joined by Australia’s reigning Champion sire, Lonhro who has been so well received since we announced him just last month.  We can’t wait to show him to breeders in January. Of our four freshmen who have started so well, Hard Spun deserves special mention.  He’s leading the table by Stakes winners and we look forward to all of their three-year-olds in 2012.”

Boden continued, “Our stud fees remain exceptional value in order that breeders can continue to participate with the best chance of success and we look forward to discussing them with our clients in the coming weeks.”
