Bourbon Sense 35th Stakes winner lifetime for Street Sense

Four-year-old wires Arapahoe Park Classic Stakes

There was plenty to cheers August 16 as Bourbon Sense, a four-year-old son of Street Sense, showed the way in the Arapahoe Park Classic Stakes to become his sire's 35th Stakes winner lifetime.

In the one-and-one-eighth-mile race Bourbon Sense showed early speed to set the pace. Still holding top position turning for home, the competition began to loom, but the son of Street Sense dug in down the stretch and no one could catch him for a wire-to-wire win.

A $100,000 OBS March two-year-old, Bourbon Sense is out of the Stakes-winning Stormy Atlantic mare Letter Of The Law, also the dam of recent debut Del Mar two-year-old winner and TDN Rising Star Blameitonthelaw. The son of Street Sense was bred by J. S. McDonald.

Street Sense continues to have a terrific year of runners, one that has been headlined by G1 Ogden Phipps Stakes winner Wedding Toast, G1 Las Virgenes Stakes winner Callback, Australian G1 winner Hallowed Crown, and G2 King Edward Stakes victor Tower Of Texas.
