Ainda Melhor is newest Graded Stakes winner for Elusive Quality

Four-year-old wins G2 Grande Premio 25 de Janeiro

Ainda Melhor put forward a dominating performance January 25 to become the 43rd Graded Stakes winner for her sire Elusive Quality in the G2 Grande Premio 25 de Janeiro at Cidade Jardim in Brazil.

In the one-and-one-eighth-mile race, the four-year-old mare was always in contention, looming in third. Around the far turn she traveled three-wide to take aim at the lead, and absolutely accelerated down the stretch to seal the win easily.

Ainda Melhor is out of Love That Hill, a daughter of Graded Stakes winner in Brazil Sandhill.

Among Elusive Quality's 43 Graded Stakes winners are G1 Kentucky Derby winner Smarty Jones, G1 Breeders' Cup Classic winner Raven's Pass, Australian Champion Sepoy, and multiple Group-winning filly Shuruq. The sire has most recently been represented by talented young filly Seduire, a winner of the G2 Santa Ynez Stakes at Santa Anita in early January.

Elusive Quality stands the 2015 breeding season for $40,000 live foal, stands and nurses.
