Nyquist and Frosted post strong sales results at Saratoga

Frosted tops among all freshman with $850,000 yearling!
Freshman sire Nyquist

We got a glimpse of what the market thought of yearlings by Darley first-crop sires Nyquist (pictured) and Frosted at Fasig-Tipton in July and that strong sentiment continued at the Fasig-Tipton's Saratoga select sale on August 6th and 7th.

Here are a few of the highlights:

A half to G3W Native Bombshell, purchased by Hartley Derenzo.

$400,000 (hip 8) - Consigned by Taylor Made Sales, Agent.

Yearlings by Frosted also were also very well received and he currently has the highest yearling average for 2019 among all first-year stallions. Some of his top horses below:

Frosted's $850,000 yearling is the highest price for any freshman sire in 2019.

Perennial leading sales sire Medaglia d'Oro was well represented yet again with an average of $720,000. His offerings brought $900,000, $900,000, $850,000, $775,000, etc. He currently tops ALL yearling sires in North America with a $813,000 median - Curlin, War Front, Quality Road and Tapit round out the top five.

Watch for the next group of quality Darley-sired yearlings at Keeneland in September!
