$1.4 million daughter tops offerings on sale’s first day

Within three days of his daughter New Money Honey winning the G1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf at Santa Anita, two mares in-foal to Medaglia d’Oro, as well as one of his daughters, all brought seven figures at Keeneland’s November Sale on November 11th. Following is a two-day overview of his sales success which includes Fasig-Tipton’s one day November Sale on Monday, November 7th:

  • $1.4 million, hip 35, Keeneland November, Medaglia d’Oro daughter Princess Sylvia, a half to Champion Saint Liam and to the dams of G1 winner Buster’s Ready and G2 winner Gun Runner. Consigned by Three Chimneys Farm, purchased by Whisper Hill Farm.
  • $1.3 million, hip 75, Keeneland November, Medaglia d’Oro in-foal to Summer Soiree, winner of the G1 Del Mar Oaks. Consigned by Three Chimneys Farm, purchased by Dr. M. Iida.
  • $1.3 million, hip 91, Fasig-Tipton November, Medaglia d’Oro in-foal to Tapas, a half to G2 winner Justwhistledixie, dam of G1 winner New Year’s Day and G2 winner Mohaymen. Consigned by Paramount Sales, purchased by China Horse Club International.
  • $950,000, hip 164, Keeneland November, Medaglia d’Oro in-foal to Dance Quietly, a half to Champion Saint Liam and to the dams of G1 winner Buster’s Ready and G2 winner Gun Runner. Consigned by Three Chimneys Farm, purchased by Whisper Hill Farm.
  • $750,000, hip 107, Keeneland November, Medaglia d’Oro in-foal to Wild Wind, G3 winner and G1-placed mare from the immediate family of G1 winners Kingmambo and Miesque’s Son. Consigned by Three Chimneys Farm, purchased by Shadai Farm.
  • $750,000, hip 153, Keeneland November, Medaglia d’Oro in-foal to Coco’s Wildcat, Stakes winner and G3-placed mare. Consigned by Summerfield, purchased by WinStar Farm.

Bernardini also attracted the attention of buyers illustrated by two in-foal mares bringing $700,000 and $525,000. Hip 116 was the Stakes-winning mare Achiever’s Legacy who also placed in the G1 Las Virgenes Stakes. Taylor Made Sales was the consignor with R.S. Evans signing the ticket for $700,000. Hip 24, consigned by Kingswood Farm, was the mare Nile Queen who is a half-sister to Classic winner Exaggerator. Yushun company took home the five-year-old mare for $525,000.
