Kontiki makes it three in a row by wide margins as she captures the Miss Ohio Stakes by 12!

Juvenile daughter of Midshipman wins for the third time in four career starts, including two stakes in a row

Following a seven and three-quarter-length victory in her first career Stakes victory last out in the Tah Dah Stakes, Midshipman's two-year-old daughter, Kontiki, made it two added-money victories in a row with a 10-length win in the Miss Ohio Stakes on August 14. She's now three for four in her career.

Breaking just behind the initial pacesetter, the bay juvenile quickly caught up and passed that one nearing the final turn and and drew off down the stretch for an impressive win. She's won her last three starts by a combined 27 lengths!

Kontiki was bred in Ohio by Smokin C and is out of Hula Skirt, a full to three SWs including G3Ws Grasshopper and Turf War. Kontiki's half sister Generous Lover is a three-time Stakes winner.

In addition to Kontiki, Midshipman is the sire of G3 Monmouth Cup winner Surface to Air, Colleen Stakes winner Gerrards Cross, Nodouble Breeders’ Stakes Navy Seal, three-time Stakes winner One Last Chance, in addition to three Chilean G1 winners this year: Lucky Red (G1 El Derby), The Goat (G1 Dos Mil Guineas, G1 St. Leger), and Cassis Violeta (G1 Las Oaks).
