Two new Stakes winners for Elusive Quality

Ballon Bleu and Carrocel Encantado win in Brazil

After Elusive Quality filly Beauty Parlor impressed in the G3 Orchid Stakes just one day prior, the sire was represented by two additional Stakes winners March 29 in Brazil.

Three-year-old colt Ballon Bleu pressed the pace from second in the 1600-meter Classico Duplex at Cidade Jardim, before accelerating late in the stretch to pull away with the win. Bred by Stud TNT, the son of Elusive Quality is out of the Our Emblem mare Super Rafaela, a Stakes winner herself and daughter of Brazilian G1 winner Fanciulla Del West.

Meanwhile just a few hours later, Carrocel Encantado captured the 1600-meter Classico Barao e Baronesa Leithner on the turf at Gavea. The three-year-old colt took over the lead around the far turn and continued to build on his advantage down the stretch where no one could catch him. Bred by Haras Santa Maria De Araras, the G1-placed colt is out of Quanto Carina, also the dam of G1 winner in Brazil Baccelo.

Elusive Quality is now the sire of 114 Stakes winners lifetime. The sire's top runners this year include the aforementioned Beauty Parlor and G3 Palm Beach Stakes winner Eh Cumpari. Among the sire's most noteworthy progeny are G1 winners Raven's Pass, Smarty Jones, Quality Road, and Sepoy.

Elusive Quality currently stands for $40,000 live foal, stands and nurses.
