Thiscatsacowboy Girolamo's newest winner

Second two-year-old winner for sire

First-crop Darley sire Girolamo saw his second winner July 19 as two-year-old colt Thiscatsacowboy pulled away in a Maiden Special Weight at Arapahoe Park. The sire was represented by his first winner in June as Lucky Lurie won a Maiden Special Weight at Belmont, and the colt followed up with a second-place finish in the Rockville Centre Stakes over the same track just yesterday.

In the five-and-one-half-furlong race Thiscatsacowboy raced in third, just off the pacesetters. Looming entering the far turn, the son of Girolamo charged for the lead and dueled down the lane before pulling away in the final strides for a win in his very first start.

Bred by Gatewood Bell, Kiaran McLaughlin & John A. Marulli, Thiscatsacowboy is out of the Elusive Quality mare Evasive, a daughter of Stakes-placed Stephanie's Road who has also produced Stakes winner Drill Hall.

By A.P. Indy out of the outstanding Mr. Prospector mare Get Lucky, Girolamo is a full-brother to the dams of G1 winners Super Saver, Bluegrass Cat, and Imagining. Girolamo's wins include the G1 Vosburgh Stakes and G2 Jerome Stakes, as well as a close third in the G1 Cigar Mile.
