Third G1 winner for Street Sense

Hallowed Crown remains unbeaten in G1 Golden Rose at Rosehill

Unbeaten Street Sense colt Hallowed Crown became the third G1 winner for his sire with a brilliant victory in the G1 Golden Rose over 7f at Rosehill, September 13.

A G3-winning juvenile, Hallowed Crown resumed as a three-year-old with a fast-finishing win in the G3 Run to the Rose last month. Having just his fourth career start, the striking colt once again finished too strongly for his rivals and stamped himself as one of Australia’s most exciting prospects.

A homebred for Gooree Park Stud, Hallowed Crown is the seventh foal from Danehill mare Crowned Glory, a G3 winner herself and runner-up in the G1 Golden Slipper as a juvenile. Crowned Glory’s dam Significant Moment is a half-sister to G1 winner and Champion stallion Zabeel.

Hallowed Crown joins Sweet Reason and Aubby K as G1 winners for Kentucky Derby winner Street Sense who has sired 23 career Stakes winners.
