Street Fancy earns first Stakes victory in G1 Starlet

Daughter of Street Sense now has two wins in three career starts

Street Fancy rallied strongly along the inside rail to post a mild upset in the G1 Starlet Stakes at Los Alamitos Race Course December 12.

It was the first Stakes victory for the two-year-old daughter of Street Sense, who now has two wins and a third-place finish in three career starts.

Bred in Kentucky by Hunter Valley Farm, Street Fancy is out of the stakes-winning Cat Thief mare, Bold Angel. Bold Angel is a half-sister to G3 winner Texas Fever, and hails from the female family of G1 winners Fusaichi Pegasus, Pine Bluff, and Demons Begone.

Street Sense is the sire of 18 Stakes winners this year including additional G1 winners Wedding Toast, Hallowed Crown, and Callback. Street Sense captured the G1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile on his way to earning championship honors in 2006.

Street Sense will stand for a fee of $45,000 (stands and nurses) in 2016.
