Son of Discreet Cat storms to victory

Discreet Cat's Stormdriver captured his second Stakes win this year July 4 as a clear winner in the Louisiana Legends Classic Stakes at Evangeline Downs.

In the one-and-one-sixteenth-mile race the five-year-old ran three-lengths off the pace towards the back of the field. Around the far turn Stormdriver began to make his move, finding a spot between horses and coasting past foes with a furlong to go to come away with the solid win.

A nearly six-length winner of the John Henry Stakes over the same course in April, Stormdriver was bred by Tigertail Ranch. He is out of the Stakes-winning mare Prom Date.

Discreet Cat is the sire of nine Graded or Group Stakes winners lifetime, who include back-to-back G1 Carter Handicap winner Dads Caps, G1 Del Mar Oaks winner Discreet Marq, and G1 Chandelier Stakes winner Secret Compass.
