Lewis Bay looks sharp in winning the G2 Gazelle Stakes

Daughter of Bernardini stamps her ticket to the G1 Kentucky Oaks

Lewis Bay took command at the top of the stretch and never looked back as she cruised to an easy victory in the G2 Gazelle Stakes at Aqueduct.

It was the second Graded Stakes win for the three-year-old daughter of Bernardini, who also boasts a victory in the G2 Demoiselle over the same track last fall.

Lewis Bay is out of the Summer Squall mare, Summer Raven, winner of the G3 Tempted Stakes. Lewis Bay is a half-sister to Winslow Homer, winner of the G3 Holy Bull Stakes, and Misconnect, winner of the G3 General George Stakes.

Bernardini is the sire of 45 Stakes winners, among them 13 G1 winners including Alpha, To Honor And Serve, Rachel’s Valentina, and Stay Thirsty.

Bernardini is standing at Jonabell Farm at a fee of $100,000 live foal, stands and nurses.
