G3 victory for Street Boss fily

Thiamandi defeats her rivals with ease in the G3 Bletchingly Stakes

Having never been tried over 6f in her 16 starts to date, three-year-old Street Boss filly Thiamandi stepped up in trip and recorded her sixth career win, scoring a dominant two length victory over Commands mare Gig in the G3 Bletchingly Stakes at Caulfield on July 26.

Settling in third position with the raging hot favourite in front of her, jockey Michael Rodd pulled his mount from behind the leaders to make a challenge as they rounded the home turn.

The only runner in the field of her age and sex, the Lloyd Kennewell-trained filly, who was actually scratched from a Stakes race on her home track in Adelaide on the same day, charged passed the leading duo to become the seventh international Stakes winner for her sire and the first in Australia.

Bred by Ealing Park Pty Ltd, Thiamandi is out of the Stakes performed Woodborough mare Country Class, whose current two-year-old is a filly by Darley stallion Reset.

Set to shuttle to Australia in the next week, Street Cry’s G1-winning son Street Boss has been represented by G1 winners Danza and Capo Bastone.
