Financial Modeling goes wire-to-wire to win Queens County Stakes

Son of Street Sense pulls away in the stretch to earn first Stakes victory

Financial Modeling took the lead at the start and was never challenged as he went wire-to-wire to win the nine-furlong $100,000 Queens County Stakes at Aqueduct by four-and-one-quarter lengths.

The Queens County marked the Stakes debut for the four-year-old son of Street Sense, who improved his record to four wins in eight career starts.

Bred in Kentucky by Haymarket Farm LLC, Financial Modeling is out of Open Flirt, by A.P. Indy. Financial Modeling’s second dam is With a Wink, winner of the G2 Delaware Handicap and listed Dogwood Stakes.

Financial Modeling is one of 20 Stakes winners this year for Street Sense, who is finishing out 2015 on a hot streak. His two-year-old daughter Street Fancy recently won the G1 Starlet Stakes, while in New Zealand, his son Thunder Down Under captured the Listed Salver Stakes at Ellerslie. Other G1 winners this year for Street Sense include Wedding Toast, Hallowed Crown, and Callback.

Street Sense will stand for a fee of $45,000 (stands and nurses) in 2016.
