Discreet Cat's Too Discreet unbeaten in Schenectady Stakes

Two-year-old colt is full brother to G1 winner Discreet Marq

Talent definitely runs in this family. G1 winner Discreet Marq's two-year-old full-brother Too Discreet is already showing talent comparable to the daughter of Discreet Cat, winning the Schenectady Stakes on the turf at Saratoga August 21.

After two-year-old Too Discreet cruised in a Maiden Special Weight over the course in early August, the colt returned to take on rivals in Stakes company at the Spa. In the five-and-one-half-furlong turf race Too Discreet raced two-and-one-half-lengths off the pace in third. Into the stretch the son of Discreet Cat began to challenge, and advanced down the stretch to take the win in the final strides and continue his unbeaten record.

A homebred for Patricia Generazio, the colt is out of the multiple Stakes winner and Graded-placed Marquetry mare To Marquet, also the dam of Stakes-placed runners Marquet Cat and Marquet Madness, in addition to the aforementioned Discreet Marq.

Discreet Cat is the sire of nine Graded Stakes winners lifetime, a group that includes Discreet Marq, back-to-back G1 Carter Handicap winner Dads Caps, and G1 Chandelier Stakes winner Secret Compass.
